Soteria "Tory" Kafieri is the granddaughter to Theo, a survivor from World War Two who was saved by her husband Acheron Parthenopaeus. She's an archaeologist who was trying to prove the existence of Atlantis like the rest of her family before her. We first meet her in The Dream-Hunter while she is on the team with her cousin, Megeara. Acheron, while in disguise, embarrassed her while she was giving a lecture about a journal she had found at a dig site that she believed was Atlantis. This journal lead her to Julian, who was the leading expert on ancient Greece. He told her he couldn't read the journal but thought that he might know someone who could.
