Seraphina watched her whole tribe be slaughtered by Katagaria dragons when she was a child. She was adopted by the Scythian Guard and taught not only to hate Katagaria dragons, but also to hunt and kill them. She was horrified when she ended up mated to one, but she took him back to live with her. Though Maxis cherished her, she never respected him, and she let her tribe abuse him. He eventually had enough and left her, not knowing that she was pregnant. She raised Hadyn and Edena on her own.
The Scythian Guard was frozen in stone for millennia and only awakened by Kessar in 2015 A.D. He and Nala kidnapped her children to make her turn Maxis over to them. Instead, Seraphina and Maxis reunited and reconciled. Maxis rescued their children.
