There are several dracokyn (species of dragons) in the Were-Hunter Series.

Draconi[]
Draconi are truly animals. They are smaller than Drakomai and do not have magical abilities. Draconi were combined with Apollites to create Were-Hunters.
Draki[]
Draki are in the Were-Hunter patria Drakos[1]. Arcadian Draki are born humans and can shape shift into dragons at puberty. Katagari Draki are born dragons and can shape shift into humans at puberty.
Drakomai[]
Drakomai were the first dragons. They were born from the dragonsworn. Due to their natural nature to be solitary and great sense of duty and loyalty the gods and heroes have given them many artifacts to protect and keep from the hands of men.
Mandrakes[]
Mandrakes are the children of Draki or Drakomai and Adoni.
